The number is three, as shown by the triple-spoke 5-spoke wheel on Audi’s new S4 (FYI, these wheels are optional, part of the $6100 Prestige package). It’s a matter of personal opinion, of course, but the wheel comes across looking a bit busy.
That’s about the only complaint I have so far concerning the new supercharged S4, the drivetrain, handing and comfort of which are fantastic. Although the 3.0 TFSI V-6 doesn’t have anywhere near the power of the Corvette ZR1’s LS9, the Audi’s power delivery, driveability and sound quality (read: lack of supercharger whine) put the S4 in the running for greatest supercharged engine ever created.
